Dear friends,
We demonstrate against fortress Europe to save lives of refugees!
We stand up against racism and fascism!
The release of Roupakias, the Golden Dawn killer of Pavlos Fyssas causes rage. It is a fiasco of prosecution and justice mechanisms to deal with the murderous violence of the assault battalions of Golden Dawn, that professes being a "legitimate party.
Indignation is caused by the cynicism of the 28 EU members when more than 1,000 refugees and migrants drowned in the last three months in the Aegean Sea, because of the closed border, the fence in Evros.
It is inhumane to erect fences everywhere, sending NATO to drown the refugees, to imprison refugees in camps, to proceed to mass deportation of refugees and migrants, to continue the imperialist intervention in the Middle East, Asia, Africa.
It is a scandal to acclaim Erdogan as the border guard of racist EU-fortress and Turkey as a "safe country", funded with 6 billion to deny refugees the right to life. Erdogan is bombing the Kurds and razing towns and villages. He is shuting down newspapers, jailing academics and leftists. They are even deporting academics!
It is unacceptable that the SYRIZA-ANEL government agrees with these racist policies that complement the memoranda of austerity and cuts in social security, education, health.
We welcome the protesters in more than 16 countries around the planet who are taking to the streets shouting that refugees are welcome, calling for removal of fences, to stop wars, to shut down the camps and to block the way for the rise of fascist parties who play the cards of racism and Islamophobia.
Let’s unite and fight to defend refugees, stop the war, and open the way for a society without racism, poverty and exploitation.
OPEN THE BORDERS NOW!

On March 19 we demonstrate at 8 cities across Greece and all across Europe, so that the movement of solidarity with the refugees wins and to defeat racism, Islamophobia and the fascist threat.
The cry of solidarity with the refugees will echo with rallies in Athens, Thessaloniki, Patra, Chania, Ioannina, Xanthi, Mytilene and Volos.
It will echo loudly with strong rallies in London, Glasgow, Cardiff, Amsterdam, Paris, Vienna, Copenhagen, Dublin, Barcelona, Zurich, Warsaw and Nicosia. In Turkey, the movement demonstrates on the anniversary of Nevroz, the Kurdish Spring and stands in solidarity against the bombing of the Kurdish territories by Erdogan.
On March 19, we put our foot down against the NATO invasion of the Aegean sea, so we do not have to mourn again drowned children, mothers and fathers. Those who spread and are spreading death with bombs in Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria, together with Russia and the EU, cannot become border guards in the Aegean sea. That way they will drive more people in the hands of the human traffickers, more expensive and dangerous crossings into Europe.
CALL FOR 19TH OF MARCH, INTERNATIONAL DAY OF ACTION AGAINST RACISM AND FASCISM*
Across Europe we are witnessing an unrelenting racist offensive against refugees, Muslims, Jews and migrant workers. Thousands of refugees are stuck in squalid conditions not fit for humans without proper shelter.
The racist reaction against refugees is leading to a rise in racist, Islamophobic and anti-Semitic attacks. In Europe Austerity has meant a fall in living standards for the 99%. Refugees, Muslims and migrant workers are wrongly scapegoated for this.
In the 1930s it was the Jews scapegoated for the economic hardship during the Great Depression. We have been here before and know where this can lead. We stand against all forms of oppression: racism, sexism, Islamophobia, anti-Semitism homophobia and fascism.
We oppose Europe of fences, concentration camps , racism and interventions in Middle East, Africa and Asia We call on all progressive people in Europe, that think all human beings should be treated equally, with respect and dignity, to march in solidarity to commemorate UN Anti-Racist Day on Saturday 19 March.
We say refugees are welcome here - stand up to racism, Islamophobia, anti-Semitism and fascism
