OBAMA UNWELCOME! NO TO WAR AND RACISM!

Written by
KEERFA MOVEMENT UNITED AGAINST RACISM AND FASCIST THREAT
OBAMA IS NOT WELCOME! NO TO WAR AND RACISM!
NATO OUT FROM THE AEGEAN! - CLOSE THE BASES, OPEN THE BORDERS!
NO INVOLVEMENT OF GREECE IN WARS!
Demonstrations:
TUESDAY NOVEMBER 15, ATHENS POLYTECHNIC, 5pm
POLYTECHNIC UPRISING ANNIVERSARY MARCH, THURSDAY 17 NOVEMBER, KLAFTHMONOS Square, 3pm
The cancellation of Obama’s fiesta on Acropolis was the first victory for the demonstrators against his visit. We dedicate it to the thousands who demonstrate against Trump.
The Obama visit to Athens, after the election of Trump in the US presidency, which is to take place during the three-day celebration of the Polytechnic uprising, is a provocation against the democratic and peace-loving sentiments of the vast majority of workers and youth. The US and NATO supported then the bloody dictatorship of the colonels, now they support the apartheid state of Israel, the dictator Sisi of Egypt and are arming their allies to compete with Russia and other forces in the Syrian civil war.
The election of Trump sends the message of the escalation of the imperialist campaigns abroad and of racism within the US; for this reason, the neo-Nazi Golden Dawn ran to celebrate.
The defeat of the interventions in Iraq and Afghanistan left behind debris, millions of dead and displaced refugees for the sake of control of oil fields and strategic passes.
Obama, the first black US president, closes his term escalating the military intervention in Iraq and Syria with operations in Mosul and Aleppo. This escalation will bring new carnage of dead, millions of refugees.

KEERFA - MOVEMENT UNITED AGAINST RACISM AND FASCIST THREAT
Only at the end of the school year the Ministry of Education chose to send an information circular with existing legislation on enrollment of children of refugees in schools, whereby the Managers of schools are obliged to accept applications for registration made by the children guardians.
Had the circular been sent since January, at the time the government stated that the children of refugees will enroll in public schools, this would have been organized for the new school year and there wouldn’t be the phenomenon Managers of schools unlawfully refusing to accept applications for registration.
Only because education unions and anti-racist movement activists have for long been mobilized, registrations started in elementary and high schools.
No to Fortress Europe, open borders, open cities
No to Islamophobia, refugees welcome
Block the way to the fascist threat
The murder of the Labour Party MP Jo Cox by a neo-Nazi brought to the fore the threat of fascism against our democratic freedoms all across Europe. This atrocity was born out of the hate campaign against migrants that escalated sharply before the referendum in Britain.
But since a year, millions of people across Europe with their actions shook the foundations of the racist policy of Fortress Europe, of closed borders, of fences, of concentration camps.
European governments responded to the massive wave of solidarity to refugees, which unfolded everywhere demanding open borders, with the implementation of racist EU-Turkey agreement. The consequences are the drowning of thousands of refugees trying to cross to Europe from North Africa across the most dangerous waters of the Mediterranean.

ASYLUM AND SHELTER TO REFUGEES
We welcome the thousands who marched on Saturday, March 19 in Greece and in over 17 countries, participating in the international action day against racism and fascism. It was the first revolt against the shame of the EU-Turkey agreement with the signature of the SYRIZA-ANEL government. We proclaimed our determination to strengthen the movement of solidarity to refugees so that with the labor and student movement to press the fight for the cancellation in effect of the shameful agreement. For not letting concentration camps to open and for not proceeding to mass expulsions to Turkey. Not to let the Police send
immigrants handcuffed into concentration camps .
On March 19 two worlds clashed. On one side a world of solidarity to refugees and on the other the Europe of fences and expulsions, racism and Islamophobia. Now they attempt to use the new attack of ISIS at Brussels to attack the movement and to harden the EU fortress further, leading to more drownings at the border.
