Let’s drive out the government of the murderers of Tempi, Pylos, and Violanta.
NO to war, racism, and poverty.
Our needs before their profits!
May 1st is a day of honor and remembrance of the heroic workers’ strike in Chicago. The gears of the profit machine came to a halt as they demanded “8 hours of work, 8 hours of rest, 8 hours of sleep.” The fallen workers, men and women, left behind with their blood a legacy of unyielding struggle to overthrow the system of profit and exploitation, war, and racism.
The government’s crisis is deepening, and the anger of workers and youth is flaring up. It is sinking into the stench of scandals, as the new batch of ministers and MPs facing trial over OPEKEPE tightens the noose around its neck once again. The reshuffle won’t save it; it’s a corpse with no grave. From Tempi and Pylos to Violanta and the wiretapping scandals, it has nowhere to stand, as the fairy tales about growth go out the window in the face of the new surge in fuel and food prices.
This year,1st of May finds the working class rising up globally against the war in Iran and the genocide in Gaza, but also fighting against the murderous and destructive consequences of the policies of the Trump, Netanyahu, and Mitsotakis.
March 28 brought to the forefront the power that can crush the global machine of death, from Minnesota to Athens. Eight million people protested in the U.S. against Trump in a country swept by the anti-war movement and resistance to the racism of ICE agents, shaken by the horrors revealed in the Epstein files, the murders and rapes of women and children. Half a million in London against the far-right threat, three hundred thousand in Rome. The far right has been dealt a blow in the US.
March 28 was a milestone in the struggle to put our needs above their profits, to end the war in Iran, and to stop the arms race from being borne on the backs of the working class, dismantling public education, healthcare, and welfare.
To put an end to privatizations, the dismantling of the National Health System, and public education. For jobs, not bombs. For pay raises and mass hiring in public services.
To close U.S. military bases and bring back the frigates and Patriot missiles from Saudi Arabia. No participation in the war.
To put a stop to Plevris’s racist campaign and the revocation of Javed Aslam’s asylum, to send the Pylos murderers to prison, and to legalize all immigrants. To demand equal rights for all workers, salaries and pensions.
With this momentum, we are moving to overthrow the Mitsotakis government.
