It is time to organize in the unions together with all workers. To establish ones where there are none. No boss can break us up, no government, no LAOS party can divide us into “legal” and “illegal” without papers and put us in confrontation, if ALL TOGETHER we organize and struggle.
Who is causing layoffs? The immigrants or the industrialists who, in order to increase their profits, want us unpaid and fighting each other?
Who asks for social security stamps in order for us to have permit of stay, but do not give us such permit that enables us to claim social security like everyone else and thus save the Social Security Funds?
The government persecutes the refugees and poor immigrants when they are out in the streets trying to survive as petty vendors. At the same time it is looking the other way concerning the unpaid work of building and construction workers, house assistants, workers in industry, in the fields, at sea.
The government’s allies are the IMF (International Monetary Fund) and the EU (European Union), who are to blame for poverty and hunger in Africa, Asia, M. East, Balkans. They are also NATO, the USA and zionists who, with their armies spread death with their bombs in Afghanistan, Somalia, Palestine.
Instead of solidarity with the persecuted refugees and immigrants, the EU and the government face us with the barbarism of concentration camps and the FRONTEX. They keep us without papers, with Police checks like Israel does on Palestinians – or in the past the racist appartheid in S. Africa. As refugees we receive no asylum, neither shelter nor food. Even our dead have no graveyard to be buried in dignity. The state itself has coastal guardsmen who shouted racist slogans against the immigrants in an official parade and they are the same that arrest us at the frontier!
We call to mass resistance!
ALL at the Workers’ May Day celebration, on Saturday, 1st of May!
To honor the dead workers at Chicago who, with their blood in 1886 demanded 8hrs work per day and decent work conditions. Those days’ immigrant workers in America wrote heroic pages of resistance. Now is our turn! For this purpose we took part at the National Strike on the 24th of February not to allow the anti-labor measures that impact everyone. For this purpose, on 1st of May, no one should report at work, all together in the rally and demonstration at the Museum at 10:30a.m.
The 1st of May is a day of struggle for a world free of capitalism, exploitation, poverty, racism and imperialism!
JOIN US, IN THE UNION OF IMMIGRANT WORKERS!
